I became a teacher to make a difference in the world. Through my songs I’ve tried to help kids understand how people and the other living things in the world are interdependent – and share my passion for the Earth’s natural environment.
I believe a song can change the world. A song can open eyes, minds, and hearts. Songs can inspire and encourage. The Earth needs people with passion to help us get back on track.
Healing our planet will take more than knowledge and information. First must come a genuine love for all living things, and with that comes the desire to protect them. Typically education only goes so far, imparting knowledge and its application. It addresses only the cognitive. We need philosophical changes to get us back on course, and for that we must also address the affective, and instill a passion for all of Earth's natural systems. My mission is not only to teach, but also to inspire an army of "Eco-Crusaders" who will share my passion for our living planet.
